Frenchs Forest Self Defence

Develop confidence with our Self Defence structure

Aside from all classes offered in the Adults Gracie Barra Program Structure, our school offers self defence classes designed to introduce women to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a means of self defence. Our Self Defence classes are offered to both men and women,  but ladies do have the option on training with their own gender if preferred.  As a martial art designed to allow the weaker to defeat the stronger, BJJ is a perfect fit for women who are interested in learning how to defend themselves!

The Gracie Barra Women’s Program in Frenchs Forest combines a comprehensive self-defence curriculum, with emphasis on drills that simulate realistic attack and escape situations. The techniques are complemented by a strong fitness component that is second to none compared to classes offered in regular gyms.

Gracie Barra Headquarters - Sydney is located at Level 3, 28 Rodborough Road in Frenchs Forest, but we cater to the community of Dee Why, as well as to all areas surrounding Sydney, due to our specialized Self Defence training. Come on by and visit us or just call us at 0404 522 566 to receive your free introductory lesson.

You will find a group of girls, some of them wearing a pink GB uniform, who are excited to be there and excited to have you there. The instructor will run several basic drills and after a few classes you will catch up with the rest of the group. Once you master the basics you will really enjoy the intensity of a class based on effective self-defence techniques and real life scenarios.
