The highest level of training at Gracie Barra, GB3 is designed for students who want to push the limits of their Jiu-Jitsu and prepare for the journey toward earning their Black Belt.
The GB3 Program is the ultimate stage in Gracie Barra’s training system, designed for students who have progressed through GB2 and are ready to elevate their Jiu-Jitsu to a Black Belt level.
Open to blue belts and above, GB3 introduces high-level technical concepts, strategic application, and competition-style intensity. Classes are built around helping each student refine their personal Jiu-Jitsu style, improve timing, pressure, and transitions, and build the mindset of a leader – both on and off the mats.
Whether your goal is to compete, coach, or continue your personal evolution, GB3 provides the tools and environment to help you achieve it.
GB3 challenges not only the body but the mind, demanding discipline, resilience, and commitment. It is where seasoned practitioners continue to grow while giving back to their team.
Staying hydrated is essential. Bring a water bottle to keep refreshed throughout your training.
Wearing the official Gracie Barra Gi or No-Gi uniform reflects our team identity and maintains the high standards of our school.
Wear flip-flops or sandals to make it easy to step on and off the mat while keeping the training area clean.
While not mandatory, a mouthguard is strongly recommended for advanced classes involving live drills or sparring to protect your teeth and enhance safety.
Jiu-Jitsu Journey with Gracie Barra
EXCELLENT Based on 231 reviews Posted on Google Trisha DhillonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you’re looking for a Jiu-Jitsu gym in the Northern Beaches / Sydney area, I highly recommend Gracie Barra Sydney. I started here as a white belt with zero martial arts experience and have since earned my black belt. You simply cannot find this kind of lineage anywhere else. The head instructor, Professor Marcelo, trained directly under Carlos Gracie Jr., who is a part of the founding family of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Marcelo was also one of the first people to bring the school/ sport to Australia. The gym features excellent instructors who are passionate and knowledgeable about the sport (shoutout to Prof. Anderson and Markson). There are also great woman classes (shoutout prof. Giuliana). It accommodates all levels, from novices and hobbyists to active competitors. The facilities are well-maintained and the timetable suits different training schedules. The community is fantastic, and it is definitely a great place to make lifelong friends. Very thankful I chose to start my journey here.Posted on Google Sidney SuwalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everyone was super friendly, welcoming and safe! thank you to Professor Anderson who was generous with his time - sharing his knowledge and giving me personalised feedback to uplevel my jiujitsu - much appreciated!! The atmosphere on the mats is welcoming and friendly with everyone helping each other improve. A special thank you to Markson for his patience, encouragement, and attention to detail, he’s had a big impact on my jiu-jitsu journey and helped me grow both on and off the mats! I’ve been training at Gracie Barra for almost 2 years now, and joining was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made. I trained at other schools before, but nowhere else made me feel as welcomed and at home as this place. The environment is great, the coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, and the team atmosphere makes training enjoyable every day. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, this is a place where you can grow, learn, and feel part of a real community. Highly recommend!Posted on Google HD BBTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. GB Sydney is an excellent academy and a very welcoming place for everyone. It’s a safe, clean, and well-organised environment where kids, women, and adults can train with confidence. What really stands out is the strong family-oriented culture and the caring, supportive coaches who create a nurturing atmosphere for all students.
